Course Overview

Aim of course: Discipline is aimed at developing the skills and abilities of undergraduates in choosing methods for analyzing and diagnosing the structure, chemical composition, morphology of nano-objects and materials.

Learning Achievement

Master students should be competent in: to possess the theoretical foundations of methods for investigating the size, morphology of nanoparticles and the structure of nanomaterials; methods of studying the elemental composition of nanomaterials

Course schedule

Week1: Nanoscience and nanotechnologies: concepts, classifications, nanoscience Week2: Specificity of the structure and nanomaterials properties: surface nanostructures Week3: Carbon nanomaterials. Allotropic forms of carbon - «nano» and non «nano».
