Introduction to Materials Science Al-Farabi Kazakh National University
This is a course in which a general acquaintance with a large amount of theoretical material will be made, therefore, in preparation for the discipline, textbooks, scientific articles and students’ independent work play a significant role. In addition to lectures, practical classes are provided where students will become familiar with some methods of analysis and research of materials.
Students should be able to demonstrate the knowledge gained in the field of classification of materials, structure of materials, defects in materials, phenomena on the surface and in the volume of materials, their reactivity, properties of non-metallic materials
