Advanced Scientific Research Proposal in English 1 University of Tsukuba

Course Overview

Research advisors in the Neuroscience Degree Program, whose native language is English, will play a central role in cultivating scientific English skills, logical thinking skills, and expressive abilities sufficient to write a doctoral dissertation in English. Those who wish to do so will be guided in writing applications for research grants and scholarships equivalent to NIH Predoctoral Fellowships.

Learning Achievement

By the end of the year, each student will acquire the ability to logically present their Ph.D. research project. For this purpose, the class will be geared towards writing a predoctoral fellowship and/or dissertation.

Grading Philosophy

Grades are based on presentation, class participation and attendance.
50% participation in discussions, 30% presentation and 20% attendance.
