The aim of the course is to give the students the basics of "Applied problems of mechanics and energetics", introduce with basic concepts and terms of energy conversion, transport and storage, teach them to derive the basic equations and familiarize them with the basic axioms, hypotheses and modern approaches in solving energetics and mechanics problems.
Learning Outcomes: Describe the physical nature of energy transfer and conversion
Fundamentals of Differential equations, Equations of mathematical Physics, Continuum Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics
Exams (25%), Activity in classromm (75%)
Week1: Units, definitions, Basic modes of Heat transfer, Energy, Power, Specific heat capacity Week2: Thermal conductivity for various materials, heat transfer coefficient Week3: Heat convection, convective heat transfer coefficient
