Course Overview
To illustrate course content, students will develop an application as
part of a student project in relation to their major topics. Projects
involve designing algorithms, emphasizing their structure, robustness
and clarity, accompanied with appropriate documentation.

Continuous assessment: projects and an oral presentation.

- Basic concepts and methods for problem solving based on computer
programming.
- Algorithm structure: variable assignments, sequences, loops, etc.
- Problem specification: functional (hierarchical) decomposition,
state, pre-condition, post-condition, loop invariant.
