Course Overview
初修者を対象にしたこのドイツ語の授業では、4技能(聞く・読む・話す・書く)の総合的な修得に配慮しながら、とくに基本文法(入門レベル)の修得を目指す。
Learning Achievement
The course aims to teach basic German language (CEFR-level A1), the ability to interact with others in daily life. Basic grammar will also be covered. Music and songs will complement the course.

Students should be willing to interact with each other in various forms, directly or digitally.
Grading Philosophy
Question time & homework 50%, 2 oral tests 20%, 2 written tests 20%, 1 report 10%.
Course schedule
There will be quizzes and tests in almost every lesson.Introduction. First song, singing, speaking, writing.Alphabet and "lifeline": A set of questions that help to communicate, even with very basic language knowledge. Greetings and self introduction. Basic Q&A and spelling.Written practice test: Gap filling and scramble test on basic vocabulary. Numbers from 1 to 10."Wohnen Sie in Berlin?" (Do you live in Berlin?). Present tense of verbs. Question time. Song."Wer? Wessen? Wem? Wen?" (Who? Whose? (To) who(m)? Who(m)?". Question words. Professions. Question time.First written test: Gap filling and scramble test on vocabulary, grammar and language structures."Wem gibst du das Buch?" (Who do you give the book to?). Dative and accusative. Question time."Sprechen Sie langsam!" (Speak slowly!) Imperative mood and irregular verbs. Question time. Song.First oral test: Self introduction, followed by Q&A."Der Prof gibt dem Studi den Test des Semesters." (The prof gives the student the test of the semester). The four cases of the articles. Question time."Wollen Sie in Deutschland studieren?" (Do you want to study in Germany?). Modal verbs. Question time. Song.Second written test: Gap filling and scramble test on language structures."Wie viel Uhr ist es?" (What time is it?). Time of the day. Question time.Preparation of oral test. Song. Question time.Second oral test: Short, free dialog with a random partner in front of the class, followed by Q&A.There might be shifts due to the individual class progression.
