Course Overview
> Students will learn to: - Understand molecular mechanisms of neurotransmission andgliotransmission. - Have an overview on intracellular signalling. - Understand molecular mechanisms of synaptic plasticity. - Develop a critical analysis of complex data sets onneurotransmission. - Propose experimental strategy to tackle questions related toneurotransmission.

> Program: - Introduction to Neuronal plasticity. - G-protein coupled receptors. - Growth factors and tyrosine kinase receptors. - Ionotropic receptors and their trafficking - Purinergic signalling. - Cytoskeleton-associated signalling. - Glial cells and repertoire of gliotransmitters. - Astrocyte activation. - Astrocyte and synaptic transmission. - Astrocytes and synaptic memory. - Molecular mechanisms of synaptic plasticity, long-term potentiationand long-term depression.
