Chemistry and Health University of Bordeaux

Course Overview

The course concerns thematic courses focused on how chemistry could
impact health and interact with living organisms in terms of toxicity,
diagnostic or therapy.

Course prerequisites

High-school diploma.

Grading Philosophy

- Continuous assessment: symposium organization with an oral
scientific presentation - 30% of overall mark
- Practical sessions reports: 20% of overall mark
- Final assessment: written exam - 3h00, 50%  of overall mark

The first session takes place in May.
In the case of insufficient results, a second session is organized for
the final exam, either as a written exam or an oral session, depending
on the number of students. This 2nd session takes place at the end of
June.

- Drug design: medicinal chemistry and introduction to pharmacology
