Comprehensive Japanese 4 Speaking and Listening B University of Tsukuba
Course Overview
Students will be able to listen to and understand correctly simple speech about familiar topics. They will be able to do simple presentations and listen to the presentations of others.
Learning Achievement
・Students will be able to listen to/understand conversations using grammar patterns previously studied. ・Students will be able to understand and differentiate between various Japanese sounds and pitch accents. ・Students will be able to converse about familiar topics, and give their opinion.

Course prerequisites
Students have to certify this subject fits their level by taking the placement test (http://ttbj-tsukuba.org/) (level 4 or level 5) or by passing a subject one level below this subject.
Grading Philosophy
Class discussion and activities 20%, Presentations 60% (midterm presentation 30%, final presentation 30%), Homework assignments 20% (Attendance rate of 70% or higher is required) Note that grades from A+ to C are to be determined based on the total score.
