Goal of the Course is teaching to fundamentals of plasma physics.

The ability to understand the specifics of the course « Computer simulation of dynamic characteristics of dense plasmas » within the framework of conceptions about the basic concepts of dense plasma physics, the laws of plasma physics and their mathematical expressions, laws of plasma physical phenomena and processes, methods of observation and evaluation

Course prerequisites

Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Thermodynamics and basics of statistical physics, General Physics, Linear Algebra, mathematical Analysis, Numerical Methods.

Grading Philosophy

Exams (25%), Activity in classromm (75%)

Course schedule

Week1: Dense plasma definition, examples, dimensionless parameters. Week2: Poisson equation for dense plasmas Week3: Euler equations for dense plasmas without magnetic field
