Course Overview
- Students learn to collaborate and speak to a professional geologistabout their research in an English-speaking setting. None of thesegeologists are French speaking and so they must use their Englishspeaking skills to gather information - Students learn to select important information fromtheirdiscussions and reproduce it in an organised and informative wayin a poster format.

Course schedule
- Exchange with geologists from different parts of the UK/Canada. (1hour) - Students collaborate together in order to prepare for the exchange(3 hours) - Exchange with the professional (1 hour) - Using the information given by the geologist, students create aprofessional poster to be displayed in the university (4 hours) - Students prepare an oral presentation to present to the others. (5hours) - A writing based on their experience and also another presentationis produced at the end (1 hour
Course type
Projects with deadlines and Google Drive for dropping in assignments. There will be “drop in” sessions available for any questions/guidance needed by students. - One first meeting to explain the programme - A fixed “drop-in” session every week where students can ask questions/share concerns
