English Composition (Ⅱ) (2) National Taiwan University
Course Overview
(Sample description from one of the several instructors)
Whereas the first semester largely required students to review grammar and sentence structure, culminating in two essays, the second semester will consist of entirely essay-length writing assignments. These will include various rhetorical modes (process, causation, definition, illustration, argumentation, etc.) and one 'mini' research paper (five to eight pages in length using three to five citations) to prepare students for Junior Composition and future academic writing.
