Course Overview
The objective of this course is to provide students with basicknowledge in environmental chemistry, pollutant sources and fate inthe environment, as well as their analysis and impacts.

Grading Philosophy
- Continuous assessment: preparation and presentation of a poster (bygroups of 3-4 students) - 40% of overall mark - Final assessment: written exam - 3h00, 60% of overall markThe first session of the final exam takes place in December. In thecase of insufficient results, a second session is organized, either asa written exam or an oral session, depending on the number ofstudents. This 2nd session takes place at the end of June.

THE COURSE IS DEVIDED INTO 7 CHAPTERS: - Biogeochemical cycles - Sources and fate of main pollutants - Atmospheric chemistry - Introduction to air pollutant reactivity - Water chemistry - Fundamentals in toxico-chemistry - Introduction to sustainable chemistry
