Genome Biology I University of Tsukuba

Course Overview

Lectures will cover basic knowledge on the structure and function of the genome, as well as technologies for DNA and genome analyses.

Learning Achievement

This course explains the technologies of genome analyses, and aims to give students basic knowledge to understand current and future biology at molecular and genomic levels.

Competence

Lectures are based on Introductory Genetics given for the 1st year students.

Course prerequisites

Students will be expected to have completed Introductory Genetics prior to enrollment in this course or to possess equivalent knowledge.

Grading Philosophy

Mid-term (30%), Exam (70%)
