Course Overview
Learn about qualitative research method as for the beginner level in order to explore the meaning of effective human caring for the older adults and the family. A total of 6 reports will be assigned at every two classes. Class proceeds based on the presentation of the report assignment.
Learning Achievement
(1)Upon completion of this course, students will be able to examine current major issues on caring the older adults and the stakeholders such as their family, health care providers and the community by understanding of various disciplines and research methods. (2)Students also will be able to manage the very first step of Grounded theory method.

Grading Philosophy
Evaluated by presentations (70%)with 6 assignments(5 for after classes and one for the final, 30%). Student's comments on presentation, discussion contents or attitude, presentation contents will be evaluated according to the course objects.

On-line classes will be given. To learn the semi-structured interview, prepare Microsoft teams and ZOOM equipment and let the teacher know your mail account (university mail is preferable). Active, motivated participation, good writing on assignments, fine performance on Microsoft teams/ ZOOM discussion.
