Course Overview

国連が提起した「持続可能な開発目標(SDGs)」に密接に関わる国際社会が直面する課題を理解し、大学院生各人に国際社会の一員としての自覚を誘起することで、高等教育を受けた者が果たすべき役割と責任について熟考させることを目的とする。
当科目は「持続可能な開発目標(SDGs)」の中で、主として、Goal 3 & 4に関連するが、社会性や共生という観点から現代に生きる人類に共通する課題とそれに対する取り組みの方向性を提起する先端的な講義を展開する。
国際社会が直面する「社会性の変容」に起因する様々な問題を「社会脳」として新たな分野を創成しそれを取り扱う。
個別課題として、社会性の発達と環境、社会認知の脳内基盤、高齢者の認知機能などについて講義する。

Learning Achievement

It is essential for human beings to establish and maintain emotional bonds with other people as a basis for good mental health. In a highly industrialized/computerized world, it has become more and more difficult to form and maintain stable social relationships. In this lecture, we will discuss how neuroscience can contribute to understanding human behavior and improve mental health.

Competence

To acquire basic knowledge on behavioral neuroscience of social behavior.

Interests in Global Issues on Sociality

Grading Philosophy

70% Essay assignment to be announced at the end of the last lecture.
30% Participation on discussion during the class

The class will be held in 2 consecutive days.
Day 1: 2024, March Class 1-5 (10AM~16PM)
