Course Overview
This course considers the formation and changes in multicultural society in pre- and post-war Japan from the perspective of the field of history (historians).
Learning Achievement
Enable students to determine the issues discussed from the perspective of the field of history (historians) with regard to the formation of and changes in multicultural society in pre- and post-war Japan, and to be able to explain them.
Competence
Related to major competences: “2. Cultural phenomena analytical ability” and “3. Intercultural problem-solving ability.”

Grading Philosophy
Students will be assessed based on a test (60%) and comment sheet submitted in each class (40%).
