Course Overview
This course teaches fundamental skills for computer use. By using computers to create documents and presentations, disseminate information on the Internet and share information, students acquire basic information utilization skills.
Learning Achievement
1. Ability to create e-mails, documents, and presentation materials using computers, application software, and the Internet. 2. Understand and correctly utilize information dissemination and information sharing through computers and the Internet.

Course schedule
Week 1: Information ethics, information security, precautions when using the Internet, how to send e-mails, etc. Week 2: Using word processing software for formatting documents, creating figures and tables, citing; Basic report creation and writing Week 3: Information collection, opinion exchange, information dissemination via information network; issues surrounding Social Networking Services Weeks 4-5: How to structure a presentation with the audience in mind and important points when making a presentation; Presentations using presentation creation software
