Inorganic 3 and Polymer 1 Chemistry University of Bordeaux

Course Overview

> This course is divided in two courses:

-  Inorganic Chemistry 3 (CI3), and

- Polymers:

_ 1. INORGANIC CHEMSITRY 3_ is devoted to the study of crystalline
solids. Recalling some key concepts (chemical bondingversus
electronegativity; phase diagram ; X-ray diffraction)
acrystallographic description related to the chemical bonds is given.

_2. POLYMER_ courses aims at introducing the field of polymer
materials from the main synthetic pathways to the structure-properties
relationship of these macromolecular materials

Course prerequisites

High-school diploma.

Grading Philosophy

- The evaluation of each course includes one mid-term exam (DS) and a
terminal exam (DST) covering all the chapters of the course.
- In case of failure, a second session is organized for the final
exam, either as awritten final exam or an oral session depending on
the number of failed students. This 2nd session takes place at the end
of June.
