Introduction to Biological Systems University of Bordeaux

Course Overview

This course aims to provide an introductory knowledge of the biology
and biochemistry of a selection of microorganisms and plants, in order
to provide students with an understanding of how chemical /biochemical
structures evolve and how these organisms can be used as producers of
(macro)molecules of interest. 

More specifically, this course will intend to achieve the following
goals:  - Know the different types of microorganisms and have a
basic knowledge of the biology of a selection of microorganisms; -
Know the components of microbial cell and their function;  - Know
the main biological cycles; - Know how to use microorganisms in
practice to produce biobasedmolecules of interest
