Introduction to continuum mechanics Al-Farabi Kazakh National University
Continuum mechanics - a part of the mechanics, dedicated to the movement of liquid, gaseous and solid deformation mediums. This course covers the fundamentals of continuum mechanics, which are sufficient and necessary for the special study of various specific issues of mechanics.
Students should be able to have an understanding of the continuity hypothesis, the kinematics of a continuum, the theory of deformation of the medium, dynamics, thermodynamics and electrodynamics of continuous media and applied aspects of continuum mechanics

Week1: Basics of tensor calculus and analysis. Basic operations on tensors Week2: Subject and problems of CM. The hypothesis of continuity. The laws of motion of a solid body. The laws of motion of a continuous medium Week3: Methods of Lagrange and Euler study the motion of a continuous medium and their relationship. The trajectory of the line current and differential equations
