Introduction to Law University of Tsukuba

Course Overview

This course aims to make students get comprehensive introduction to Jurisprudence or legal studies. It addresses the character and contents of each field in Jurisprudence through practical and case examples.

By taking this course, students are expected to learn the basic concepts of law and their function in our society.

This course is designed for students who are interested in legal studies

Course prerequisites

This course is available only for students who acquired the credit of Introduction to Social Sciences(1B90061).
The number of students is limited to 30-35. This course is designed for G30 students so priority upon registration will be given to G30 students.

Grading Philosophy

The number of students who can acquire grade A+ or A is limited to 30% of students registered.
Items and percentage of grading:
Final Exam: 50%
Weekly Assignment: 30%
Contribution to class (Questions and Comments): 20%
