THIS INTRODUCTORY COURSE FOCUSES ON THE FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES OF LIQUID CRYSTALS AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAYS (LCDS). IT IS INTENDED TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH A SOLID BACKGROUND IN VARIOUS ASPECTS (INCLUDING MATERIALS, DEVICE PRINCIPLES, ELECTRO-OPTIC EFFECTS & OPTICS OF LCDS) OF THIS INTERDISCIPLINARY SUBJECT.
