Course Overview
This course provides an introduction to the study of human speech sounds. Various aspects of speech production and perception will be discussed, involving articulatory apparatus, phonetic transcription, and basic acoustics of speech.

Course schedule
This course provides an introduction to the study of human speech sounds. Various aspects of speech production and perception will be discussed, involving articulatory apparatus, phonetic transcription, and basic acoustics of speech.The lecture will be conducted in English, but slides contain keywords in Japanese. Students can ask questions in English or Japanese.
