This course will cover the language knowledge (writing system, vocabulary, grammar, sentence patterns, etc.) necessary for students to communicate during activities in the Starter (activities) class.
Students will learn to read and write hiragana. They will understand the Japanese vocabulary and grammar used in communication.

Students should make an effort to study the Japanese writing system independently, as little in-class time will be allocated for writing practice.
