Course Overview
This course will cover the language knowledge (writing system, vocabulary, grammar, sentence patterns, etc.) necessary for students to communicate about themselves, their families, things happening around them, and other things directly related to themselves, as well as familiar cultural topics.
Learning Achievement
Students will systematically learn the grammar and vocaburary necessary for doing the following activities while in Japan: eating at a restaurant, traveling, participating in events, online shopping, and living an eco-friendly lifestyle.
Competence
Course prerequisites
Students should be at the level equivalent to having completed JF Standard for Japanese-Language Education A1 Level (Introductory). They should be able to read hiragana and katakana.
Grading Philosophy
Class participation (Online-class using Zoom) 10% Chapter quizzes (using manaba) 20% Marugoto Online Course “Rikai” A2-3 and A2-4 30% Final exam (using manaba) 40%
