Japanese 4 Listening 1B (Pre-intermediate) University of Tsukuba

Course Overview

Students will master the Japanese necessary for university life and study. They will strengthen their listening skills gained at the elementary level. In addition, they will learn and practice intermediate grammar and vocabulary, etc.

To acquire master the Japanese necessary for university life and study
To strengthen listening skills gained at the the elementary level
To learn intermediate level grammar and vocabulary, and to enhance linguistic performance.

Competence

Course prerequisites

Those who have completed Level J3 and can understand and use grammar and vocabulary for this level.

Grading Philosophy

Dictation (weekly) 10% Tests (weekly) 50% Final Examination 40%
70% attendance is required. (Those who fail to meet this requirement will not receive a grade.)

・Pay careful attention and listen to the different sounds you hear in everyday life, such as on TV, radio and Internet sites (e.g. YouTube), at the train station and over supermarket announcements, etc., and report these in class.
