Japanese 7 Grammar 2A (Pre-advanced) University of Tsukuba

Course Overview

Students will learn grammar patterns/usages required for the pre-advanced level while reviewing what was learned in the mid-intermediate level. They will master practical skills necessary for effectively communication in Japanese.

Learning Achievement

Students will learn pre-advanced level grammar and develop the ability to comprehend complex Japanese used in both written and spoken forms. They will also learn about pragmatic features of Japanese that facilitate smooth communication.

Students have to certify this subject fits their level by taking the placement test (http://ttbj-tsukuba.org/).

Grading Philosophy

Assignments/class participation: 30%, Quizzes: 30%, Final Exam: 40% (A minimum attendence of 70% is mandatory)
Note that grades from A+ to C are to be determined based on the total score.
