Course Overview

We will aim to reach the N2 level of the JLPT. In particular, we will work on reading skills. For students at the J5 to J8 levels. This class is offered as a part of professional career support for International Students.

Learning Achievement

Students will acquire Japanese reading skills equivalent for passing N2 of the JLPT.

Competence

Communication ability to use the mother tongue and foreign languages properly and make presentations, etc. using various media

Course prerequisites

Your level should allow you to aim for N2.
You need at least an N3 level.
Students with level J5,J6,J7 or J8

Grading Philosophy

At least 70% attendance is required.
Homework40%,Final examination: 60%.
Note that grades from A+ to C are to be determined based on the total score.

Course schedule

Week 1 Orientation,Textbook Lesson1-
Week 2 Textbook Lesson 2-3. Practical training session with a focus on the way of thinking to understand a text.
At the end of every week, tests with typical JLPT questions will be given to get used to the JLPT.
Week 3 Textbook Lesson 4-5
Week 4 Textbook Lesson 6-7
Week 5 Review the important parts of the textbook Final test and feedback.
