Japanese Listening II-B University of Tsukuba
Course Overview
In this course, students will complete training to acquire the listening skills required for success in university classes. In addition to increasing students' vocabulary and knowledge of expressions, this course will allow students to learn how to infer and correctly interpret a speaker's intentions.
Learning Achievement
・Students will be able to improve listening skills necessary to understand university classes. ・Through the listening practice of various fields and topics, students will learn vocabulary and background information critical to understanding Japan and Japanese culture. ・Students will be able to understand the speaker's intentions and to predict the development of the story.

Course prerequisites
・Undergraduate exchange students must be level 7 (of the placement test: http://ttbj-tsukuba.org/). ・Japanese returnee students require the permission of the head of CEGLOC and the class teacher in order to take this course.
Grading Philosophy
Assignments 30%, Midterm exam 30%, Final exam 40% Note that grades from A+ to C are to be determined based on the total score.
