Japan’s Politics and Civil Society 2 University of Tsukuba

Course Overview

Following "Japan's Politics and Civil Society 1", we aim to understand Japanese politics and civil society and to master methodology of social sciences through reading some basic literatures. In particular, we make much account of comparative methods. We focus on the relashionship between state and civil society in this class.

Learning Achievement

(1)Students acquire basic knowledge of politics and civil society and can explain it (Capacity to Leverage Academic Knowledge, and Expertise Acquisition).
(2)Students can examine the features of Japanese politics and civil society from comparative perspectives (Capacity to Leverage Academic Knowledge, Global Awareness, Research ability, and Expertise Acquisition).
