Kanji (Upper-intermediate) 6-1B University of Tsukuba

Course Overview

Students will learn how to use upper-intermediate kanji vocabulary correctly in practice as they learn how to read and write them. Students will select kanji from things they want to read on their own and devise methods to be able to use them.(IKB vol.1 L6-10)

Learning Achievement

As students remember the reading and writing of upper intermediate level kanji vocabulary, they will be able to use them correctly. They will also learn to extract kanji and kanji vocabulary from reading material they enjoy and be able to devise ways to use these.

Course prerequisites

Students have to certify this subject fits their level by taking the placement test (http://ttbj-tsukuba.org/) or by passing a subject one level below this subject.

Grading Philosophy

Homework 40%, Quizzes 30%, Final test 30%
(Attendance rate of 70% or higher is required)
Note that grades from A+ to C are to be determined based on the total score.
