Course Overview

Research work on a given topic. This topic may follow on from a
previous bibliographic project on the same or a related topic.
Students must carry out research on a given topic under the
supervision of a university staff member. They are in charge of
writing  a report synthesizing the approach, method and results
associated with the work including their critical analysis.

The Master Thesis can cover any of the fields related to the FAME
Master. Opportunities may be found through Master Thesis  offers or
by directly contacting potential supervisors.

Self-study: 600 hours (450h experimental work, 75 report and defence preparation, 75h exchanges with supervisor).

- The Master Thesis is usually associated with the Bibliographic
Project in M2, but may be conducted independently. Students must be
able to enrolin a long internship (minimum four months, up to 6
months) during their stay at UBx.
- This courseis part of the Erasmus Mundus Master FAME (Functional
Advanced Materials Engineering.
