Material and Device Physics for Nanoscience I University of Tsukuba

Course Overview

This course will focus on the fundamental physics and physics of transport in nanoscale materials such as semiconductors and superconductors in order to understand the physical processes for nanotechnology.

Learning Achievement

(1) To understand and acquire the basic physical properties, transport phenomena, and their measurement techniques necessary for the development of nanotechnology from both experimental and theoretical aspects.
(2) Understand the physical properties of Bose particles, Fermi particles, and quasiparticles in semiconductors and superconductors, and learn their applications to transport phenomena in nanoscale materials.

Competence

On knowledge creativity, basic engineering skills, and basic academic skills.
