Course Overview

This lecture provides basic knowledge for various minerals and rocks in the earth's surface and interior. Main purposes are to learn classification, basic principles and processes of the formations of the minerals and rocks (mainly igneous and metamorphic rocks) in the earth.

Learning Achievement

We provide lectures for rock-forming minerals and their generation mechanisms, and also igneous and metamorphic rocks with their generation and evolution processes. Global igneous and orogenic activities are also included in hte lectures.
