Monozukuri Project Universiti Teknologi Malaysia
Course Overview
This is an advanced course continuation the project from Integrated Design Project subject, where the main focus is on the product development process and blended with the Monozukuri which is Japanese philosophy that adore a good craftsmanship spirit. The scope of work which consist fabrication process which utilizes advances machines such as Computer Numerical Control (CNC), Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM) and 3D printer. The work continues with product testing and optimization. This is where the product analysis and evaluation from the test data will be utilized in order to meet the product design requirement that has been set from the previous subject (Integrated Design Project). In addition, not to forget the ability to manage the project which include team working, budget, project period are also being assessed.
