Course Overview
This course introduces the fundamentals of optical transition, absorption and recombination in semiconductors necessary to understand the operation of light emitting / light conversion devices such as LED and solar cell. The creation of new functions by introducing advanced technologies such as quantum nanostructures are also explained.

Evaluate based on the presentation in the lecture (30%) and the report (70%). The evaluation of the presentation also includes the aggressiveness of questions.
