Formation of knowledge on the ion exchange processes and the physico-chemical basis of ionization, practical issues of ionization and the importance of ion exchange processes in chemical technology.
Undergraduates can acquire the following skills: describe the technological process using the laws of ion exchange in ion exchangers and ion-exchange resins for their use in cleaning liquids from inorganic and organic ions, in the purification of drugs under production conditions
Physical chemistry (electrolyte solutions, chemical equilibrium, chromotagraphy), Colloidal chemistry (exchange adsorption, surface-active substances), High molecular compounds chemistry (GPM) (polymerization, polycondensation, polymer solutions).
Exams (25%), Activity in classromm (75%)
Week1: Introduction. Historical review. Technical Evolution if Ion-Exchangers. Anorganic ionites. General characteristic of ion exchange. Week2: Introduction. Historical review. Technical Evolution if Ion-Exchangers. Anorganic ionites. General characteristic of ion exchange. Week3: General principles of ion-exchangers’ syntheses. Syntheses of cationites. Chemical bases of syntheses of anionites.
