Course Overview

This course provides an overview of project definition, project management terminology and processes (start-up, planning, execution, supervisory control, closure) and deepens understanding of basic project management. In addition, an overview of the project management tools that are actually used, methods of use, and examples of use will be shown. Students will understand the basics of project management practices that are useful for the research and development of biomaterials.

(3) Understanding of organizational system planning and promotion method
(4) Understanding of planning and executing process methods
(5) Understanding of risk and risk management

(9) Understanding of each management tools and usage of them.

Course prerequisites

Grading Philosophy

Grades are evaluated based on performance by the exercises assigned to students.
It is evaluated on performed appropriateness of each assumed project management theme setting and are based on the degree of achievement (understanding and completeness) of the project management tool that manages them.
Appropriateness of virtual project theme setting (20%)
Achievement of virtual project theme management tools (80%; For each tool 20% x 4 tools are assumed)
Grades (A+, A, B, C and D) are to be determined based on percentage of achievement out of 100%
(A+ 100%; A >80%; B >70%; C >50% and 49%>D)
