Prominent Discoveries in Neuroscience University of Tsukuba

Course Overview

The goal of this omnibus course is to learn advanced principles in neuroscience, by reading "landmark" papers of historical significance in the broad area of neurobiology chosen by each instructor.

原著論文を読みこなし、トピックについて論じることができる。さらに、英語によるプレゼンテーション能力が向上し、自分自身の研究分野においても英語で議論ができる。
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to read original papers thoroughly and discuss on the topics. Moreover, presentation skills in English will be improved so that the students will be able to effectively give scientific presentations about their own studies.

Course prerequisites

原則として、全ての授業への出席が必要である。やむを得ない理由で欠席する場合には、その回のトピック論文を纏めた短いレポートを提出することで代替する。
As a general rule, students must attend all classes. If you are absent from classes for unavoidable reasons, a short report summarizing the topic papers of the absent class can be submitted, alternatively.

Grading Philosophy

出席、プレゼンテーションの完成度およびディスカッションへの貢献度を評価する。
Attendance, presentation, as well as active participation in discussion as audience, will be evaluated.
