Course Overview
To understand the physiology and pathology of the auditory system, psychological aspects, and physiological characteristics of infants, children, and students with hearing impairment, and their interaction with each other. Specifically, the physiological functions of the auditory organs related to education and welfare for the hearing impaired, including the outer ear, middle ear, inner ear, and central auditory system, as well as the basics of acoustics and cochlear implants necessary to support the use of hearing related to education and welfare for the hearing impaired, will be discussed. The course also touches on basic knowledge of the psychological development of children with hearing impairment, and deepens the understanding of the development of children with hearing impairment from the aspect of the interaction between hearing impairment and society (environment).
