Course Overview
This course is the introduction to academic research and publishing. The goal is to acquire basic knowledge and skills required for researchers. It showcases some of the research projects in a variety of domains, and addresses some of the important topics in research activites, such as documentation, research ethics, brainstorming, collaboration, and presentation. We also show some of the useful tools for researchers.

Course prerequisites
Grading Philosophy
Each student has to submit a report or give a talk on each of five topics, based on the practices in each class. Your overall course grade will be determined as the average grade for the five reports or talks.
More precisely, Small Report and Presentation at Each Class (60%), Active Engagement of Class Discussion 40%
To acquire the credits, the students should submit all the reports, give all the presentations and be scored more than 60 points out of 100 points in total.

Online(Synchronous) - This is an in-person course with interactive discussion. Some classes may be online (synchronous) due to circumstances.
