Sociology of Migration University of Tsukuba
This course aims to analyze international migration focusing on key themes for understanding this social phenomenon. To this end, topics such as gender and migration, transnational communities, migration policies will be addressed through a sociological and multidisciplinary perspective.
The goal of this course is that students acquire critical knowledge to deeply analyze the multidimensional and multifaceted causes and consequences of international migration and its implications for contemporary society.
The objective of this course is to offer the student specific knowledge about international migration. Grades will be based on participation (20%), homework (30%) and final report(50%)
