Special Lecture in Architectural Design Theory University of Tsukuba
Course Overview
Students will observe the environment around the site and the city from the viewpoints of housing, architecture, and urbanism, and discuss how the results are incorporated into architectural design by taking up specific examples. In addition, as a practical application of architectural design theory, each student will make a proposal for an architectural project. The proposal will be based on the analysis of the context of the site, which will be set arbitrarily, and the students will learn about the possible architectural design of the site. The class will conclude with a presentation and critique of each student's architectural project.

Course prerequisites
Must have basic knowledge of architecture and expression.
Grading Philosophy
Evaluation will be based on the content of the presentation (30%) and the final product (70%).
