Special Lecture on Numerical Simulation University of Tsukuba

Course Overview

Learning Achievement

Motivation: The particle-in-cell (PIC) simulation method is the
method of choice for studying problems on a small (kinetic) scale in
1 Space plasmas.
2 Laboratory plasmas.
3 Astrophysical plasmas.
This course aims at familiarizing students with the underlying
numerical scheme and some properties of the simulation plasma.
