Learning Achievement

Course Objectives: (1) To gain awareness of the complexity of soils and soil components, and soil chemical processes that affect strongly bound nutrients and contaminants; (2) To develop skills in applying soil chemistry toward solving environmental and agricultural problems; and (3) To relate molecular-scale soil chemical properties and processes to macroscale behavior of soil contaminants and plant nutrients.
