Sport and Diversity University of Tsukuba

Course Overview

Through this course, the students will learn about problems that we have been facing regarding sports and diversity and discuss about future inclusive society through 2 different topics. First topic is about sport and gender issues such as women’s participation in sports, women’s position and leadership in sports organizations, LGBT issues, etc. The second topic is about sport and disabilities. The students will learn about the Paralympic Games and other international competitive sports events as well as leaning about various disabilities and their characteristics through some examples.
