Statistics and Data Analysis in Environmental and Geological Sciences University of Bordeaux

Course Overview

Introduction to basics in statistics and data analysis in
environmental and geophysical sciences. Practical work is conducted
using  the R environment.

Course prerequisites

- Correct written and oral competences in English.
- Knowledge of basic software (e.g. word, Excel).
- Bachelor degree level knowledge in Earth and/or Life Sciences, or
Physics, or Chemistry.

Grading Philosophy

> First Session:

- 1 practical exam of 1.5 h (50% of overall mark).
- 1 written exam of 1.5 h (50% of the overall mark).

> Second Session:

- 1 written exam of 1.5 hour, or,
- 1 oral exam (50% of the overall mark).

The student needs a mark of 100/200 to validate this module.
