Course Overview

This lecture provides basic knowledge for sedimentology and paleontology and historical geology. Main purposes are to learn interrelationship between life and environment of geological time.

The purpose of this course is to understand basic concepts of sedimentology and stratigraphy as well as interrelationships between life and its surrounding environments in a geologic time scale.

This lecture provides basic concepts of sedimentology, stratigraphy, paleontology and historical geology. The first five lectures focus on sedimentology and stratigraphy and the latter five lectures focus on the brief history of Earth with evolution of organisms.
