Supplementary Japanese 3 Reading Writing 1A University of Tsukuba
Course Overview
This class practices reading and writing to ensure a smooth transition for students at the J3 level to the J4 level.
Learning Achievement
Students are able to read several essays while paying attention to how grammatical patterns are used in sentences. After practicing how to use the patterns, students are able to write their own essays which express their experience and opinions.
Competence
Course prerequisites
Students have to certify this subject fits their level by taking the placement test. Students should have the Japanese ability of CEFR A1; close to level A2 is ideal. They should be able to read hiragana and katakana, and hopefully basic kanji as well.
Grading Philosophy
Class performance (Online classes using Zoom) 20% Homework (using manaba) 30% Composition assignments (using manaba) 50%
